“Again,”
Heart beat racing, lungs collapsing and barely taking in the air, Junnie had no clue how she could last any longer. Her breaths came in heavy pants as she leaned over in defeat. Before she knew it, her tiny body was on the ground with a blade pointed at her throat. Junnie’s eyes stared at the blade in shock, then slowly traveled the length of the shinny metal to the man that held it. His blazing green eyes stared back at her with little mercy in his eyes. His sharp features were like a gorgeous Greek statue come to life. The man was tall, with rich dark brown hair that waved in silky smooth locks.
“You are dead,” the man said, his voice thick with disappointment and a heavy German accent, “Again.” Junnie frowned and stayed where she was on the ground. Pausing mid-turn, he stared at her, “Did you hear me? I said again-- now get up.” his voice was harsh. “I cannot fight any longer!” Junnie snapped back, but instantly retreated it. Almost instantly the man swung his blade at her like a hammer. A slight scream escaped her lips as she brought her hands up, the bladed Chakrams gripped tightly in her hands. A loud clank sounded as the blade smashed against each other.
“Fight!!” the man yelled at Junnie, continuing his rain of swings but she blocked them all. She was at a huge disadvantage being on the ground, but she thought around it, managing to sweep her leg under his and knocking him down. In that same second she was on top of him with her own ringed blade at his throat. Panting heavily, her violet colored eyes started at him-- lifeless. The man smiled suddenly, “Well done.” Junnie eyes flashed with confusion as she stared at the beautiful mint green ones, “I wish you would not do this to me.” she told him, her voice was sweet but held no emotion like the vivid ones her eyes showed, “I do not like to hurt you.”
“I know, June.” the man sat up then and took her face into his hands. Junnie stared into his eyes as he gently stroked his thumbs across her cheeks. “I know…” and his hands slowly brushed her hair back, his lips touching hers…
-------------------------------------------
A soft sigh escaped Junnie’s mouth causing her fingers to tremble slightly on her lips. Master Leon had been gone for a mere four hours and she already missed him dearly. She could still feel his kiss on her lips, but it was strange. Leon had explained that one would kiss another because it showed an unconditional amount of affection and love. Junnie saw it as a simple puckering of the lips, like Master’s books say. When Master kissed her, she felt nothing but his skin on hers, just like when he would hold her. It was like how her fairytale books described it-- fireworks… heart stops beating… love? Junnie didn’t even know what love was…
A tiny chirp brought Junnie back to reality, her eyes being focused on the lush feilds of the clearing and the formation of mountains that hid her cottage so well. Sighing to herself, she closed the window just as Master instructed-- he didn’t like it when she looked outside. One of his many rules while he was gone was to never leave the cottage… she was never allowed outside. She turned on her heels then to find a shape of silky white feathers perched in the middle of her bed. “Ah Milo,” Junnie gasped to the dove, “At least you do not leave me.” she smiled and scooped Milo into her arms. “It is time for our dinner, yes?” The bird chirped a sweet tune and Junnie took him to the kitchen, putting him down then and proceeding to cook her first dinner without Master Leon….
The delicious smell of warm food drifting into the night’s windy air…

The feint sound of laughter also filled the air.
A strange sound as very few ventured past the cottage. The laughter came again, high pitched and very feminine, but wrought with power. A feral growling was heard followed by another fit of laughter then a large thud echoed through the cottage, the small home shaken by something that had struck just below the window Junnie had shut.
