*Years of Rping: Aeons.
Name: Alecto
*Age: Many thousands of years
Gender: Female...ish
Bloodline: Sidhe
Preferred mantel (pick three): Andean Condor, Black or Green Mamba, Wolf (I'm seriously on the fence, here. It might be lame to be a big bird in a cave. Pick whichever one you think Unseelie should have, for balance.)
Court Preference: Unseelie
Appearance: Alecto is a child of death, a spirit of darkness; she could never pass for a human in the mortal world. Her skin is the halfway point between a mediterranean tan and liquid pewter, cast more in shades of violet and gray than the glow of living flesh. Her hair is night blue, oil black, with threads of silver gleaming at her hairline as if from age. Only her eyes break the trend of watery cold. Those eyes are flame-bright, not gold but burning yellow, green and red.
Alecto's height is middling, her form neither straight nor curved in a way to suggest a body built either for war or love; for death is unbiased in its choice of victims. Only her fine bones and full lips resemble the norm of feminine beauty. But only those fae who are lovers of death and have no fear of pain would find this creature soothing to their eyes.
Personality/History: The world of men no longer has a place for Alecto. Once revered as the embodiment of judgment and revenge, the Fury was cast from her position with the advent of Christianity, and soon found herself wholly ignored by humankind. Her plagues and massacres began to be labelled acts of God and, later, Nature -- and while both of these assumptions were partly true, Alecto soon grew tired of her changed role on Earth. It was then she came to Alanor.
She has become something of a fixture here, though an intermittent one -- she will occasionally return to earth to sate her bloodlust and reappear in Alanor some months or years later. Oftentimes, this two-way migration finds her homecoming met by new faces, new regents, but her allegiance remains steadfastly aligned with the Unseelie Court.
Alecto is not a political animal by nature; she does the dance of faerie formality to please only the leaders of her Court, for whom she holds arbitrary but unshakable fondness. Otherwise, her demeanor is patient, immovable and objective, without compassion or cruelty. Alecto is moved by principles more than by emotions -- loyalty in place of love, judgment rather than anger. When she kills, she does so out of a sense of justice.
