Sub-Boards

I was contemplating this today (might I add I was doing so in a totally inappropriate place and I was almost killed by a grown man running full boar into me).

But, should I seperate the courts into sub-boards? I've heard before that Alanor's ambiguous setting often leads to boredome due to everyone just wondering around the forest or the caverns. The courts are much more than that, what do you all think?

I think adding one or two more boards per court wouldn't hurt. For now, either doing that or keeping it as is would be fine.

I do think adding a place between courts would be cool, however. Would be nice for Seelie/Unseelie people to mingle and create bitter rivalries and stirring romances and whatever.

Wasn't there a place like that before? Originally it was the forest where the Fae were sent after arriving at the Mounds, and then they could be recruited to their Courts from there, I believe. They could still return there afterward, and it could be some sort of mingling place.

Subforums are an idea, but like Fireclaw said, I'd limit it one or two more boards per court for now. An alternative would be pinning a topic at the top of the court boards with a list (and maybe a short description) of locations within the court that people could choose from.

I like the option of a list and description of the places. That way we're not too limited if the characters decide to travel around.

Ah, I guess that works--never thought of the Mists that way. Guess I kept thinking about how Riana used to them as a 1 player game/exploration so I just thought of them that way.

But actually, that's not too bad of an idea, dibdib. Have only a board or two per court, but include in a thread sticky different places each specific board entails (with the option for players to expand on the area).

The Mists and the Underdark count as more of an exploration/player narrated game. Posting there would only prompt me to respond with a narration as no one has any idea what they'd be running into, and I have some pretty important stuff there.

I will be adding the Exordium board today, which was the area that Riana used as a common ground.

I also will add to the area description lists of places in each court. If you guys have any ideas for places, feel free to contribute here.
