Player Name: Alysia
Contact info(e-mail, screen name, etc): kayoticmoon@gmail.com
*Years of Rping: 8 years
Name: Alysia (or Aly amongst friends)
*Age: 322 (appears to be in her early twenties)
Gender: Female
Bloodline: sidhe
Preferred mantel (pick three): Red-bellied lemur, Golden pheasant, white-tailed jackrabbit
Court Preference: Seelie
Appearance: Alysia is beautiful, even amongst sidhe. Some would say her appearance contains a soft sultry look. She is 5'10 with long, graceful legs, perfectly flared hips, delicate waist, and a generous bust. A perfect hour-glass figure that many lesser women would kill for. She is by no means squishy though. The sultry looks and hour glass figure gives the illusion of softness when in reality she is very toned and fit.
Her skin is the color of ivory, but up close you can see a slight gold tint to it. Her long, dark gold hair falls in waves around her waist and her eyes are a strange tri color of azure and forest green with bright gold spirals. Her eyes are surrounded by dark gold eyelashes, her lips a pale red, and above all else she always wears a homely smile. The kind that make you feel at home.
Alysia usually wears anything she feels like just as long as it's comfortable. She does however tend to wear long boots. She has three white-gold earings in each ear.
Personality: Alysia is by no means a cruel and unnecessarily violent person...well not anymore. At one point in her history, Alysia was a creature that enjoyed striking fear into the soul's of every human creature known to the Carpathian mountains. A creature that hunted others without prejudice, a creature that would lure trespassers into traps, a creature who knew not love and regret, a creature that would only show mercy to those that deserved it. When truly angered, she will revert back to this state. However, like all things, Alysia changed.
Once Alysia entered the seelie court, she changed for the better. She now knows the acts of kindness and will willingly lend a hand to those in need. In the beginning, others had believed her clumsy and dumb due to her wild nature and for a long while used this to her advantage. In certain situations she will 'adopt' her 'idiotic facade' and use it to gain information. However since her recent return to Alanor she has been too preoccupied with the upcoming troubles (and her emotional ones) to really play the dumb politic court goer.
Alysia becomes terrible embarrassed when she becomes the center of attention. Often she roams the forests at night so as to not attract unwanted attention. Alysia also hates vanity, thinking it a useless shield and often spits fire and horse shoes at those who flaunt their beauty. She often wears men's clothing to help keep from flaunting her body in an open manner because of the whole vanity thing. Which leads me to the next thing.
Alysia, despite becoming a kinder woman, has never been in love. She is often confused by the unfamiliar feeling and often avoids the subject. Which in turn leads her to many emotional crisis'. When she is in this state, she often does not think things through and ends up doing things she will regret.
Another thing is that if another even hints at a challenge, Alysia becomes defensive. It's her nature to take challenges seriously and often she battles the challenger until one wins (and I'm not necessarily talking about physical conflict!). And lastly, she does have a nasty temper. No she does become angry easily, but when she does it's bad. She reverts back to a state like in her old glory days and becomes 'growly'. However for her to get this angry is rare.
History: Alysia has no recollection of her family. She often assumes she was a creation of the forest, a being birthed of nature. However she knows not if that if true or if she has negligent parents out in the world somewhere. The story of her birth is as much a mystery to her as it is to any other 'fairytale.' Alysia was not a kind creature by any means, but she did know the meaning of mercy. Just as she would hunt trespassers and lure (or scare the living crap out of- which she enjoyed immensely) them into treacherous territory, or kill them (which she rarely did) simply for cutting down a tree or hunting one of her animals. On the other side of the coin, she would also lead lost passerby from the forests and allow them sanctuary if they were on the run (as long as they abide by her rules). She did know the difference between right and wrong even if she WAS ruled by her instincts.
Alysia was like the forest itself...beautiful, wild, untamed, dangerous, and at times peaceful...She was a wild creature, wearing pelts of great wolves and bears and lacking in proper etiquette. She knew human language, but lacked manners and often seemed brash. She knew how to wield a weapon, but did not know how to wield a fork. She knew the friendship of wolves and bears, but not the friendship of human and sidhe. She was called Bisytsya by the people and that was the name she went by.
For many years that was how she lived, hunting and helping those that deserved so and as the years went by, the stories became wilder and immense. Often attracting unwanted attention. In some stories the name Bisytsya became the name of a species, often telling of a beautiful woman (or women) luring unsuspecting men to their deaths. Others told of a monstrous creature that would kidnap children from their beds and devour their livers. Some told of a be-spelled woman that would help lost travelers and would protect run away slaves and innocent prisoners. The stories however had one thing in common, her elusiveness and vicious strikes against unwanted company. Many 'demon slayers' and 'brave knights' would often seek her forest to 'vanquish' or 'release' this elusive creature and she would often send them screaming from the forests or to their graves. Eventually though, even Alysia's abilities began to fade and each battle became harder. She even began to want the company of her kind, tired of being alone. After a few more years of this never ending farce, Alysia set out to look for Alanor. Leaving behind her name and the legends that once delighted her. That was when she took the name Alysia.
When she arrived she was amazed, she had never seen anything like it. She had rarely traveled outside of her forest (with they exception of her very brief travels to the east) and she realized then that she wouldn't ever be the same. After the initial year (where others often assumed her too wild to be intelligent), she began to learn the things she hadn't ever bothered to before. Some things escaped her (like relationships) and she even began to learn kindness. A few more years down the road, Alysia was a completely different woman than she had before. She stopped wearing the pelts, learned proper manners and etiquette, and began to help others from behind the scenes. This was the time where she used the belief that she was 'stupid' to her advantage. This was where she began to earnestly began to help others from behind the scenes and do the thing she believed she had been meant to do from he beginning. Help Alanor by helping the less fortunate.
