The Seelie Court is located in an area nestled along the only river that flows smoothly in the largest valley. The river is an excellent source of water for multiple purposes. Dormitories and places of business are crafted from giant trees, ranging from large enough to accommodate whole groups of people to one room bedrooms. White spruce trees, strong and stately, with their branches intertwined to create a living ceiling, line the throne hall like marble columns. Gossamer streams of iridescent blues, pinks, and purples wind their ways through the boughs.
The throne was fashioned from a living tree as it grew. It is assumed that a character stands within 200 feet of the throne unless otherwise indicated. The branches, roots, and even trunk fashion a comfortable and impressive seat for the respite of the monarch.
The resident magic of this domain is a pair of white marble statues fashioned into the shape of lions. These have a separate consciousness and obey the orders of the monarch only; whether by voice, thought, or gesture. These statues are immune to magical and physical influences.
Places Within the Seelie:
The Royal Palace: A giant fortress crafted from trees and flora, the inside of the palace appears to be a forest within a castle. The entrance opens up to a large foyer that is the throne room. Within the palace it is eternally spring, although if the monarch deems it so, it may take the form of any season.
The Kitchens: One of the few places within the palace that does not mimic nature is the kitchens. Garlangers prepare food under the watchful eye of a Nimbus head chef, and though it is frowned upon, venturing there to request a personal meal is not unheard of.
The Dormitories: Outside of the palace the Seelie forest is dotted with smaller versions of the castle-tree. These edifices are dormitories that house the faerie of Alanor and can vary in size. Often, Conri have the largest homes while those who are ranked higher live in the palace.
Sabrina's Tavern: A stone cottage, built into the face of a giant tree truck, is constantly lit with a flickering amber light. Within the cottage is Sabrina's tavern. The pixie Sabrina serves the members of the Seelie with ale and freshly cooked stew at any time. She is even known to offer nightly rooms to couples who have found romance in her tavern.
