Gifts of the Land

Below are charms, gifts bestowed by the land upon the worthy. Charms are obtainable through exploration (of the Mists and the Underdark) and demonstrations of exceptional roleplay.

The Chalice
Bearer(s): Unknown
Description: A silver goblet that stems and cup is braided in Celtic fashion. The cup has been lost since the Mounds have opened up, allowing more faerie into Alanor. The chalice is known to be filled with whatever substance the bearer finds most pleasant and smells of a similar scent. The chalice’s power is its ability to bring about a Coming to Power of any, even non-faerie, who drink from it.

The Orb of Nocticula
Bearer(s): Unknown, Located somewhere within the Seelie Court.
Description: A solid orb of swirling colors and light, the size of the golf ball. When the bearer holds the orb it has been said to afford the user with the ability to see through Glamour, though it affects the vision of the bearer as well. The bearer will notice colors are not as vibrant and magical things seem less brilliant.

Lerafolia
Bearer(s): Verbyl
Description: A small gold leaflet that looks as if it would belong on a charm bracelet holds the power to make any land fertile and the instantaneous growth of any flora is made possible by means very similar to pixie magic. Yet in the hands of a pixie Lerafolia is much more magnificent. The bearer of the charm may create magical plants that last for a brief duration of time (3 posts, 1 to create/2 to perform tasks). These plants can be as simple or as complex as the bearer likes and can perform any task. It is legend that Lerafolia played a part in creating the living roses of the Unseelie court.

Flaming Sword of the Vulcan
Bearer(s): Lucia
Description: A bastard sword that is capable of being wielded with one or two and burns with an inextinguishable fire that can set nearly anything aflame. The touching of the Vulcan sword to bare skin is the equivalent of a 3rd degree burn. The Sword can also cut through metal and other solid materials if it is applied to the surface long enough. Beware the wielder of the sword is not immune to the Flame and the only object that can withstand the flame is the scabbard it comes with.

Airoyl’s Tunic
Bearer(s): Alicia Holmes
Description: A simple tunic made of black leather and chainmail, Airoyl’s Tunic does not look like much. However, the tunic has many special abilities that set it apart from other armor. For one, the tunic conforms to fit any body type perfectly. Secondly, the tunic is nearly as light as a feather. Thirdly, the tunic, though it may rip and tear, almost immediately mends itself following an attack.

Sparticus Aurelius
Bearer(s): Alysia
Description: A small 6 inch replica of the lions that guard the Seelie Court that is inscribed with the name “Sparticus Aurelius” is a charm capable of dispelling any magic that is used on the bearer as long as the faerie intends for the object to dispel the magic and has it on them. This charm can stop the working of all hands, glamour and even other charms, but Sparticus Aurelius does not protect against rituals.
