Legends of the Past
Below are the legends of an era long past. Very few faerie remember the existance of such heroes, and even less can claim any affiliation with such.
Andais, Fae of Caustic Vindication, Princess of Flesh and Old Blood, Mistress of Slight Illusion. - The one time ruler of the Unseelie, Andais ruled through fear and might, but all in all, was a good ruler. Andais cared for her people greatly, and thus when she left her court it pained her deeply. Andais was known for her dominance over the male species, but one of her many lovers stood above the rest; her heir, Ghreyd.
Ghreyd, Fae of Willful Wrath, Prince of Asphyxia, Master of Slight Illusion.
- Though his skills as a lover were enough to make him King when Andais departed, he had not much in the way of swordsmanship or politics. Sadly for Willful Wrath, his reign was marked not by an impressive resurgence of the Unseelie Court, but by a defeat at the hands of the Lord of the Shining Throng, Narichter.
Katalina, Fae of Savage Seduction, Princess of Decay and Latrociny, Mistress of Slight Illusion.
- Once the Goddess known as Freya, Katalina came to power already assured of her greatness, and great she was. The Seelie Court thrived under her reign and from the ranks she not only produced impressive warriors, but numerous lovers. She won the heart of two men but only desired their bodies, she departed, never choosing between them but leaving them both to fade into depression without her as their companion.
Narichter, Fae of Subtle Manipulation, Prince of Plasmic Dominance and Latrociny. Master of Roan Illusion.
- Arguably the finest warrior was the first Goblin Blade to be named under Katalina’s rule, Narichter advanced quickly through the ranks of the Seelie Court, becoming one of Katalina’s Royal Guard. He won her body but she won his heart, and when she advocated she not only left him with the crown but with a gaping hole in his heart. Narichter’s greatest exploit is the conquering of the Unseelie court, his victory over the King Ghreyd a triumphant reminder of the Seelie’s greatness.
Silver Storm, Fae of Siopilos Belos, Princess of Restoration, Mistress of Slight Illusion.
- Ghreyd’s closest friend, Silver Storm won her Goblin Blade with the aid of the Unseelie King. Though there was much criticism around her earning the coveted blade, very few jabs at her credibility found her ears. She was deadly with a blade, and no one could deny that.
Linden, Fae of Chosen Retribution, Prince of Ponfar, Master of Slight Illusion.
- The behemoth met his tragic end just days after he earned his Goblin Blade, but very few could deny his prowess with the steel. It didn’t take him long to make his name known amongst the Seelie court, winning duels and picking fights with just about everyone. His greatest victory might have saved Alanor from an outside epidemic, but instead the plague he saved the land from took his life.
Naekolam Moonschan, Fae of Sweet Temptation, Princess of Pyrotechnic and Winter’s Kiss. Mistress of Façade Illusion.
- At the tail end of her life, Naekolam was slave to the Unseelie Queen and at the very end, a smorgasbord for the darkling roses to drink from. However, brighter days preceded those as Naekolam was once thought to be Narichter’s replacement for Katalina, but when he did not reciprocate her feelings, she turned her attention to impressing him. She won her Goblin Blade for him, but he never once batted an eye.
Kobaalt, Fae of Mastered Deception, Prince of Old Blood, Master of Slight Illusion.
- Not many knew of the dark skinned sidhe before he earned his title as a Goblin Blade, but after his reputation grew. He progressed through the Unseelie ranks rapidly and when he fell at the hands of Narichter, he was not only of the Royal Guard but the Captain of the elite regimen.
Samara Damoskinos, Fae of Reverant Regret, Princess of Inner Daemons, Restoration, Asphyxia, and Killing Flame. Mistress of Roan Illusion.
- Not many believed the darkling fae would reemerge after Narichter conquered the throng, but not many believed they would ever see the day that a faerie possessed four hands of power. Perhaps the strongest magical sidhe of all time, Samara won the favor of dozens of oppressed faerie and with the aid of her allies, won the Unseelie Court back from Narichter. Her exploits ranged from enslaving her rival court’s greatest warrior and ironically enough, freeing Naekolam’s own brother from servitude. A revolutionary, a great ruler, it is unknown what became of her.
