The Darkling Throng

The Unseelie is much darker than its shining counterpart. Though horrors of the faerie live within both courts, the Darkling Throng makes no attempt to keep these demons hidden. Instead, the Unseelie fae bask in the glory of their sadomasochistic society. The powerful achieve rank through magic, sex, and bloodshed, and they retain their ranks through fear and many times, cruelty. While both courts are treacherous and cutthroat, the Unseelie do not to pretend to be anything other than what they truly are.

Garlangers, though by no means accepted wholly, are more accepted into the ranks of the Unseelie faerie. Extreme deformities do not limit a garlanger if they are talented, and often battle skills trump bloodline in the Unseelie court.

The Unseelie's current monarch, Cel, personifies the Unseelie way of life. He is a lustful, highly powerful Sidhe whose cruel side is often visible in both battle and in sex. Many believe Cel is a spoiled prince and with much to prove, Cel finds himself with many critics. However, Cel is a good ruler but an even more terrible enemy.
