Revamp?

For the revamp:

I'm more than willing to take charge, but I can't do this by myself.
Skylla - I remember you said you would be willing to maintain your role as Cel. Does this still stand?

Not sure if Luca and Asta are still around, but if they are - would you guys be willing to fall into your roles once again?

If not, anyone up for entering a staff member position?

Skylla - do you want to maintain leadership/ownership of the board? Or would it be possible to transfer it/move it? I have an invisionfree domain that would work perfectly (I prefer invisionfree anyways).

If I were to reboot Alanor, I would maintain everything as it was - history, current faerie, rankings, plot, etc. Provided I can be given the untold details by those who were previously privy to them (Skylla, Luca, etc).

Also, someone would need to take over Annette. I hate the character so there would be no way I could play her. Ever. If we replaced her with someone different, that would be cool. If someone wanted to take her - even better. Then we don't have to make up a story about how she disappears, etc etc.

Since there would be little to do to bring this place back to life (imo), I'm open to any and all details/additions/suggestions that current/returning members have.

Evelyn, I think it will be more work than you think, but still doable. I'd be happy to share a "post-mortem" of this attempt with you if you're interested, and am happy to do what I can to get you started. As before, I won't be able to play a character because my hours are just too variable and my job too demanding.

I am around, but I cannot possibly take on any admin duties aside from maybe joining people. I can still play Cel and though I am hesitant to say it, I may still be able to play Annette. I think offing monarchs is what messed us up in the past so I'm willing to bite the bullet.

Plus, I was just combing through the Alanor Timeline I wrote up and it really rejuvenated my interest for Annette.

Edit: Oh, and if we still need Segwyn I can definitely play him. He's always come easily to me. *sigh* I've resigned to the fact that I'm much more of an RPer than an admin.

Edit Edit: Evelyn, if you want my original idea as to where this plot was headed I'll send it to you. Not saying you'd need to use it, but if you wanted to see it then tweak it that'd be fine by me.

Edit #3: I had an idea. Perhaps if this revamp does go down we can do it how Riana used to, just fast forward along her timeline and planned story. Seeing as I have almost everything mapped out it wouldn't be a terrible idea to jump ahead to a point where one of the monarchs have left (most likely Cel, I planned to have him unseated and I just don't have the drive to play him like I used to). That'd leave me room to play Annette and Segwyn. Then we'd have 2 or 3 options for the Unseelie.

Sky, can I make a suggestion? I really think if we reboot and fast-forward (and I hope we do because I've been working my butt off on this skin), we should have some organized initiative to figure out amongst ourselves where our characters have been in the context of the plot. Does that make sense? Maybe a sub-board on the plot forum or something.

It would also be cool if there were specific roles to be filled in the plot that people could volunteer for, so that everyone is really integrated right off the bat. But maybe that's too hard?

I'm still more than happy to take the reins on this.
I like Skylla's idea of fast-forwarding, and Dema's idea of a board with the passed plot information on it so we can assess what each character was doing throughout. Nothing suks more than to have to guess you way through the timeline. This way we can all adjust accordingly for a fresh and on-track revamp.

If Dema is working on a new skin it would be best to leave the board here, on pro-boards. Saves a lot of head-aches that way.

Skylla, if you want to send me the information (plot-wise and other-wise) I can start board clean up, re-arranging things, and getting a board set up for figuring out all the little details plot-wise so we can be ready to go soon.

I am working on compiling a list of Alanor's ins and outs that I'll be distributing to you and Luca. I plan to stick around and help out where I'm needed, but I am largely giving you and Luca the reigns on this.

If needed I'll judge battles and help out where needed.

Ev, do you have a preferred method of contact that'd be quicker than posting back and forth on here? I'd like to discuss some stuff further with you and I'm sure you'll have questions once you see the information I'm going to send you.

Edit: I also think we should require everyone to post at least something in the aforementioned board stating that their character is still around. We need to clean house and figure out who is still around.

Well, I'm glad I decided to swing by here again. I don't know what kind of help I could be with the revamp, but I'd be more than willing to do what I can in helping start things back up again.

Hey guys, I havent forgot about Alanor! I'm busy with getting ready for the upcoming season but I'm still working on slowly gathering all of the Alanor info.

If anything this week has confirmed my belief that I'll be able to play Annette and Segwyn but i'll definitely have to put most of the admin duties on Ev and Luca.

Yikes. Sorry the skin is taking me so long!! I got suddenly swamped with homework (web design homework, mostly). It's about half done, I just didn't want to change half of it and leave the rest all wonky-looking.
