Not afraid of you [Marat]

[Haley]

Haley placed her hands on her hips as she watched Marat emerge from the library unscathed. Oddly enough, a part of her felt relieved. She didn't put much thought into it though, and her attention was quickly directed to the book Marat held in his hands. She recognized it as the one Erogsal had been holding. Clever man, Haley looked upon Marat in a renewed light, a small smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. She suppressed the urge to high-five him in victory and instead tilted her head as he ventured forth, "Well that was certainly a learning experience." She didn't ask if he was alright - any idiot could see that he was - and she didn't press him to show her the book. Haley had opted to take a more...tactful approach.

[Marat]

Marat is in no mood to hang around, though, and only nods in agreement to Haley’s statement. He makes it known that he does not wish to hang around for idle chatter thus there is no reason to assume he wishes to hang around to read the book. The book is his now and he’ll have plenty of time to discover its mysteries.

Tucking it under his arm he bows to Haley, ”Perhaps we can do it again sometime.” Adding a wink he takes off down the path back towards the Seelie Court.

Haley watched him go, shifting her weight slightly onto one leg and crossing her arms. That had not gone as planned, but Haley was not about to let it get to her. Stillm the little Nimbus's undying curiosity fought desperately to take control as she stayed her will to follow him. Slender fingers reached to scratch the top of Akuji's head as she watched Marat fade into the mists, a blank expression on her face. Finally, when she could no longer see him, Haley took a deep breath and sighed, relaxing her posture. She smiled softly down at Akuji, "Time for some sleep huh?"
