She had assumed this much. The woman nodded, delighted in his exuberance when offered the chance to be large or even more importantly, able to fight. She could offer him such abilities, only if he was willing to give something to her. “What about your loyalty to the Seelie and to Queen Annette?” She asked with a hint of curiosity to her words, the look on her face alluding to some ulterior motive in her words.

The woman was not about to revoke her offer or tease Verbyl in any way. Instead, she nodded agreeably, her face now very serious and eyes attentive in the way they studied the pixie. She noticed the way he clutched the spider, held onto the insect as if he were afraid of losing it. She did nothing to ease those concerns, sometimes sacrifice was necessary for future gains.
She lowered him to the ground, setting him down as she knelt in front of him, still towering over him even as she bent down in the grass. “Then pledge your loyalty to me and you will be able to fight.”

As he pledged his allegiance to her, she grinned wickedly, no longer needing to wear a welcoming façade. She seemed instantly more predatory. Lolth produced a trinket of some kind, a very plain leaflet made from gold. “Then this is yours,” She held it out to Verbyl, it dangling from the grip of her forefinger and her thumb.
“Use it to create whatever plants you like, living magical plants that can do your bidding.” She straightened up as he took the charm and she stood. Looking down on him with the same satisfied, wicked smile, “But return to the Seelie Court and never speak of our meeting. If you wish to find me, come to the forest and call.” She chuckled, “Hopefully the charm will be of use to you. Calling my name in the forests might not invite creatures that are entirely friendly.”
