The darkling prince melted into the mortal girl, he body pressed against hers as they shared heat. He filled her, filled her with his flesh and his magic, unwilling to sever the connection even after they had parted from their sultry kiss. It was a dangerous thing, Cel’s magic that he allowed breathe into Alicia, had they delved any further in the physical romance she might have ended up becoming elf struck. It was something Cel wanted Sygon to see, wanted the nimbus to know could happen. Though Cel suspected otherwise, if Sygon and Alicia were truly lovers he wanted the nimbus to see that he would never be able to satisfy her the way Cel, the King could, the way a sidhe could. He reigned in his magic, Alicia had undoubtedly never known an embrace as warm or as powerful as a sidhe’s and it left her visibly stunned.
Cel smiled wickedly at Sygon, keeping a close proximity to Alicia. His hands slid around her waist and the roses that surrounded them all came to life. Cel called to the magic of the Unseelie to keep both Alicia and Sygon at bay. Whether Alicia remained within his embrace due to fear or arousal didn’t matter to him but he did want to threaten Sygon. The big looming warrior needed to know that he was submissive to his king.
”I could take her all if I wished, Sygon. I would protect her, don’t you worry…” He trailed off, thinking for a moment. ”And that is exactly what I want…to take her to my chambers for the night, she should know the love of the faerie, the pleasure our magic can bring.” Lightly he brushed his knuckles along her cheek, smiling at Sygon, and waiting for a reply.

Sygon swallowed hard at the King’s words. His eyes narrowed, but as Sygon had said before he was a philosopher, not a true warrior, and he wouldn’t fight the Unseelie King. Sygon knew too much of the Seelie to ever wish to go there and to be exiled from Alanor was a horrible fate. He also knew he didn’t have the skills required to rule, not yet at least, and thus he was stuck. In addition, he didn’t own Alicia, to lie and say that he had been her lover or even the father of her child might be the only way to stop Cel from taking her to his chambers, but no faerie in their right mind would swear a lying oath to a king in his own domain. It was said to curse any magical folk.
Thus, Sygon only offered one sentence, ”I cannot allow that. Not when I know what drives you and what horrible things will become of her.” Sygon’s heartbeat in his chest, he didn’t know how he would stop the king and he knew Alicia couldn’t do much other than object either. He was also painfully aware of the living roses that surrounded them, the ones that could rip them all to shreds.

Alicia swayed a little and found herself leaning against the King, gulping air and trying very hard to clear her mind. One hand clung to his shoulder and she was surprised to find her knife in the other. She quietly put the blade away, realizing even with steel in her hand, she was helpless.
Aroused and furious, tears of frustration and shame slide down her cheeks. Never had a man been able to stun her so completely, and it was a poor prop to realize that even Cel couldn't have done so without magic. She shuddered at the feeling of being hollowed out and empty when he withdrew that special touch.
The feel of Cel's hand around her waist made her jerk, twisting a little as she looked around. Then she realized; she was not the only one in danger there. She had to swallow a time or two before saying roughly, "Let it go, Sygon. You have no claim on me, even though we both wished it otherwise. If the King is in a generous mood, I may return to you when he is done with me."
Turning as much as Cel would allow, she looked at Sygon seriously, her dark blue eyes narrowed with the need to make him understand, "You should accept this honor graciously. There are worse things that could happen to us both."
At least now she understood that the danger she had sensed was not on the order of mere social disgrace or a spanking. Now she would take life in the Unseelie court seriously, and not as a game.

Cel noted the aggressive, but noticeably more reserved position Sygon took against Cel’s advances on Alicia. The king chuckled in Alicia’s ear, a low sound but it would be most uncomforting for Alicia to know the king was amused as opposed to moved by the nimbus’s plight to win her back. The King had made up his mind, and though he had been testing Sygon’s will, he now was pursuing his own interests. The King had never taken a mortal to bed before, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. The woman’s raven hair, her scent both called to him. The clothing she wore and how she looked both alluded to that anything Cel and her would delve into would be unplanned, spontaneous and therefore more erotic in the king’s eyes. His dark blue gaze shone with excitement.
”No claim? Then you are not lovers?” He said, feigning surprise. He held Alicia away from him a bit so that she could see the look of pretend shock on his face. Then he pulled her back, caressing her the same way as he did before.
He shook his head, ”But you are right Sygon, I could not have her like I’d want, she is too frail, too mortal. Would you protect her, though? Allow me to satisfy my lust for blood as well as the feminine form?” What the King was asking would test Sygon’s morals, his code. Sygon knew Cel was prone to sadism and though the king was not a lover of men, he didn’t discriminate when it came to his submissive partners. Cel would take Alicia, but whether Sygon would be there to oversee it was his own choice.
He hugged Alicia tightly, ”You lust after him, Alicia. Invite him to join us.”

Sygon stared blankly, his stoic expression unwavering in the gaze of the king. He yearned so badly to draw his weapon, unsheathe his blade and run the king through. He wanted to pull Alicia from the icy grips of the patriarch and leave, unscathed but such a thing was a pipe dream. He knew if he drew his sword he would find himself fodder for the roses, a trance washing over him. Yet Sygon was damned if he did, and damned if he did not. The king’s preferences in bed would see to it that he fell under a trance, and thus he was caught in a catch twenty-two. He was damned if he did, damned if he didn’t.
The only way out of his predicament was to sacrifice Alicia, and that he would not do. ”I won’t allow any harm to come to her, King Cel. I’ll do what you wish.” Still he met the king with an unwavering gaze, emotionless. He would have to hide his emotions, hold them back if he wanted to make it through this. Better yet, if he wanted Alicia to make it through this.

Alicia's heart continued to pound, making her feel a little sick and dizzy. Or maybe it was the way Cel held her so close that made her so light headed. It was hard to think in the situation, but she was sure that if Sygon came with them, he would do something to piss off the King. And if he made Cel angry, neither of them would walk away from the King's pleasures.
She gave Cel a helpless look as he feigned shock. She gave a little shrug, "Even if we had gone to bed together, he would have no claim. Not when the King wishes otherwise. Is that not so?"
Then she was pressed against the sidhe again and this time she let her head rest on his shoulder to hide her expression against his neck. The rapid heat of her breathing flutters against his skin as she listens, trying her best to weigh her options. Not that the mortal girl could do much in the situation she found herself in. Her right hand slowly slid across Cel's chest in a caress as she came to her decision, and she laid a kiss on his neck before she lifted her head again.
"I did lust for him, until I knew your kiss." Alicia admits in a low tone, as if it pained her to risk hurting Sygon's feelings. She leaned back a little, letting her hips press hard against Cel with the way she balanced with the brace of his arms around her waist.
Her frown is troubled and her eyes are pleading as she looks up at the King. "Now-- Who could want him, after tasting you? If you demand me to ask him, I shall. Yet I can not claim to want to share your bed with him."
It was all true, desperately so. Alicia was hoping that Cel found her difficult enough to read that he would accept the words as they were given, and not realize that it was an attempt to keep her new friend safe.

Cel knew Sygon’s reaction would be based upon some inner sense of nobility a righteous moral code the man followed. It was a tragic flaw to have such a code, but the king played off Sygon’s weakness nonetheless. He enjoyed these types of games, especially when he could sense that the other parties involved didn’t share his appreciation. He was a true sadist, he derived pleasure from the pain he inflicted and he rarely stopped until his hunger for such things was quelled. This was foreplay; Cel’s games had only just begun.
He nodded to Alicia’s words, still playing with her hair. ”This is true, but your mortality cannot be overlooked, I would not have you killed because of my own wanton needs.” He leaned forward, his lips barely opened as he took her earlobe into his mouth. Lightly he sucked, flicking her flesh with his tongue and as he withdrew, his teeth just barely closed so he could rake her flesh with his ivories. He felt her kiss, whether or not it was sincere didn’t matter to him. ”Sygon is a nimbus. He can recover from whatever pain I put him through.”
He listened to her words and though he smiled satisfactorily, he didn’t necessarily believe they held any truth. He was not so naïve, so arrogant that he believed what she said. He was a sidhe, infinitely more beautiful than either of these creatures but human emotions were odd, and Alicia had been raised with them. He looked at Sygon and then back to Alicia, ”Then I shall invite him. For your sake, and my own needs.”

The words Alicia spoke wounded Sygon slightly. Confusion and annoyance mixed within him, as if touched by a hot brand, he felt a numbing pain. The woman before him, had she been so easily seduced by Cel? He didn’t believe it; he didn’t want to believe it, but the words Alicia said echoed such a sentiment. The King’s invitation echoed through the room and he turned his glance to the girl. He nodded, watching her, if she didn’t want him she would have to deal with him. At least, for now.
”Your wish is my command, your majesty.” He said dryly, still staring at Alicia. The only thing Sygon wanted now was to keep Alicia from harm, her body meant nothing to him but still he couldn’t let her die because of him. Alanor was far too dangerous for the mortal faerie; he didn’t understand why the Fate Skylla allowed such beings to enter.
