The Queen spoke truth- the coming into power held a certain feeling of pride and completion. She imagined that if she'd always been a Sidhe, she'd wonder what it felt like. Comparing the two lives, of course she liked being Sidhe; the feeling was much more alive with power and the grace of faerie magic. But she always cherished that moment and had that sensation to bask in the dull glow of.
"Mmm. But in a way, it makes it more precious." Her eyes glimmered as she politely clasped her hands in front of her on the massive tiger's head. His eyes had closed, content to let the two women converse in peace. Annette's bow was polite and graceful, but not submissive. It was interesting how she could balance a sense of humbleness while never giving up her air of command. It was an intriguing skill that Ayaena herself would strive for.
Her advice was sound, and the Sidhe woman nodded somewhat solemnly. "It is true, gentler souls might shy from the darker... necessary side of things." The glimmer to her eyes darkened a touch. "But... a life of aspirations, dedication, and hard work is not without its perks. Otherwise, who would risk the danger?" She smiled brightly again, watching the swirling rose depths of the Queen's eyes.
"I like a good challenge, what else should I do with such an extensive lifespan? I get bored." She laughed lightly, tilting her head at the Queen. "I'm sure you understand that thirst for... something more. Too much 'been there, done that'. The human world is full of it." Her expression held a touch of disdain. It had been interesting at first, but as soon as she could find her way through the largest cities with a blindfold, the glamour had worn thin.
