Appearance:
Niobe is of medium stature, standing at 5'8" without the aide of heels. Her body is thin but not petite, curvy but not extensively so. She has plenty of body mass, most of which is muscle, to indicate that she is well fed. Since the majority of the time Niobe is clad in clothing that completely covers her body, many faerie can only speculate about what she really looks like. Her skin is a natural light shade of brown, and the bit of hair that may be glimpsed from time to time is of the purest black, ususually maintained short or kept braided and clasped away.
The garlanger is almost always seen in a full-body black spandex suit with a black leather fitted breast plate (shaped much like a sports bra), bracers, and knee-high black boots. Her abdomen is left exposed, though the tentacles coiled tightly around it hardly reveal much. Her face is always covered in a black wrap, open enough to reveal a sliver of her face and her dark brown eyes. She also often wears a black cloak specially cut to allow her wings room.
Niobe is not a particularly ugly fae. She might even be considered pretty by human standards, but not exceptionally so. She certainly does not hold a candle to Sidhe and Nimbus, and even many other garlangers. Niobe doesn't mind much. She had recognized herself as someone destined to be a loner, and she has accepted this.
Personality:
Growing up mute, Niobe had to silently deal with the prejudice present against her kind. At first she had objected, especially after she had seen her mother (a nightflyer as well) severely beaten by a group of hotheaded faerie with nothing better to do. It took Niobe a long time to accept her position in the court, and it wasn't until after she experienced kindness from her hated faerie foe that she began to realize that not all faerie were bad. Now Niobe exists to do nothing but serve the Seelie court and she does so literally without a smile. Some might think she is emotionless, but Niobe can, at times, get very passionate about protecting the court. Still, the female is very level-headed, calm, and follows orders without question. She is completely and utterly loyal to the Seelie Queen and anyone else close to her. Niobe knows nothing of lies and deceit. Her entire existance is one of innocence, both emotionally and physically. Still, she has known bloodshed and is hardened towards it despite the fact that she severely dislikes it. She will do whatever it takes to help her court succeed, even if personally she objects to it.
*History:
Niobe has been in Alanor for like....forever. Her entire life has consisted of serving the Seelie court and nothing more. Ever since she was shown a bit of kindness from one of the past Monarchs, she has made it her duty to serve the court without fail, despite who the monarch may be or even her own personal views. Niobe is much like an automatic robot. She does what is told of her and nothing more. Past duties have included assassinations, carrying messages, scouting out territory, fetching items, and so forth. At times she usually proves her worth enough so that she is not beset with menial tasks.
Also, since she knows her appearance is, at times, not welcome, Niobe maintains her distance from the majority of other Fae, which is why despite her time in Alanor, many do not know of her.
