Player Name: Kin
Contact info(e-mail, screen name, etc): huckleberrykin at geemail
Years of Rping: 10
Name: Hal
Gender: Male
Bloodline: Nimbus
Preferred mantel: Siberian musk deer, fallow deer, raccoon dog
Court Preference: Unseelie
Appearance:
Standing at about 6'1", Hal appears to be a rather ordinary sort of guy—his build is unremarkable, from the lazy slouch of his spine right down to the informality of his stance. His hair is short and is an alarmingly plain shade of, well, brown. So are his eyes. (Brown, that is, not short.) He's not bothered by the lack of shiny, nor has he ever been too hindered because of it; appearance is a double-edged blade, and Hal's weapon of choice is the tilt of his smile.
Personality:
At first glance, Hal just doesn't stand out; he's normal, unobtrusive, even charming. Despite initial impressions, however, he's simply made himself into just one nimbus among many, perfecting an act that he's played so close to his chest for so long that the lines between self and non-self have been blurred. He's a con man who has run out of people to con -- a con man for whom the game has grown old, still doing what he's always done because he's never known anything else.
It wouldn't be inaccurate to say that Hal is naturally distrustful of others, though his loyalty, once earned, doesn't often waver. He rarely forms bonds with other people because he doesn't understand them. That's not to say that he can't read them; he's good at piecing together others' motives and predicting their actions, but he does so in a completely detached manner -- he just doesn't get them.
Hal is a sneaky bastard and a smooth talker. Vicious and completely off his rockers -- though it can take a while for the crazy to actually show -- he can go from normal to pure rage in less than a second flat. He's a thrill seeker. He feels very little, but he desperately wishes to feel more, taking risks because that adrenaline rush is the only thing that has ever really made him feel alive. In general, however, he has a good sense of self-preservation and works well enough with people as long as he's in control of himself. Normally (as with those of his own court), he doesn't care enough to cause trouble unless someone bothers him first.
